Akop Manoukian, founder and president of 3^rd Floor Productions, Inc., began his skating career in Yrevan, Armenia (former Soviet Union).  At  the age of 18 he moved to St. Petersburg with the title of three time Armenian Champion and one time Kazakhstan Champion.  He received his degree from Leningrad Sport University, studying under the direction of Olympic coach, Alexei Mishin and Rafael Arutyunyan

Akop became a professional figure skater in 1987 skating with Leningrad Ballet on Ice.

In 1990 Akop moved to America with his partner.  They decided to take advantage of their unique combination of acrobatics and comedic figure skating.  With this combination, they have thrilled audiences across the world with their daredevil antics, speed, and grace.  They have performed with  Walt Disney’s “World on Ice”, made guest appearances in the Tom Collins Tour of World Figure Skating Champions, featured in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Salt Lake City  Winter Olympics, and skated several seasons with “Art on Ice” starring such artist as Sarah Brightman, Montserrat Caballe, and the Scorpions, just to name a few. Their skating performances have appeared on several major television networks. Akop and his partner still perform today amazing their audiences ever time they take the ice.

In addition to performing, Akop has become a well-known and respected producer of ice shows and events. After trying his hand with a few smaller shows, Akop decided that he enjoyed the challenge of producing.  He founded 3^rd Floor Productions, Inc.  and with his vast knowledge and connections to the performing world, he has been able to create unforgettable, top quality shows featuring Olympic, World, Professional champions, and Off - Ice perfomers.
